Ryan Gatt
Shannon Toohey
Pauly Piff

Ryan has been tattooing for fourteen years. He has been creating art ever since he could hold a pencil.

From the artist:
“Tattooing caught my attention young and never let me go. I am self taught and truly lucky to do what I love every day. I honestly never thought tattoos and art would allow me to live the beautiful life I do and for that I am endlessly grateful. I enjoy all types of tattoo art and try hard to be able to do anything that walks in the door. Full color, 3D-realistic and surrealistic are my specialties as well as Japanese tattooing and portraiture. The day you stop learning is the day you should put down your machines.”

You could say Shannon was born for this career. She is the granddaughter of Don & Flo Makofske, creators and owners of National Tattoo Supply.
From the artist:
“I grew up tracing all the old timers flash on their shop floors. Thanks to my grandparents I was blessed to meet many of my idols and inspirations, all of which had a hand in fulfilling my dreams to become a tattoo artist. I studied at FIT before my apprenticeship with Rich Ives at Steel City Tattoo in Colorado. I have been so fortunate to work with many great artists and now have a home with the Salvation family where I live and breathe art. I am tremendously grateful to be able to wake up everyday knowing that my dreams have come true.”

Pauly began apprenticing under Ryan Gatt at just 20 years old. Over the past 7 years, he has honed his skills as a realism artist.
From the artist:

"I have been drawing and painting since I was a little kid.  It was the only hobby I had and the only thing I was ever really good at. Since I was young, art was the most important thing in my life. To this day, I am constantly observing every little visionary aspect this world has to offer, which subconsciously transfers into my artwork. I live and breathe art, and it’s all I think about. My goal is to make sure every piece of art I do, whether it’s a drawing, a painting, or a tattoo, comes out perfect and flawless.

Rebecca Bettz

Rebecca is an artist down to her core. She uses her background knowledge of anatomy and graphic design to create fun, unique pieces.
From the artist:

“I've been drawn to the arts ever since my preschool teacher told my parents, 'Your daughter's social skills are lacking, but hot damn she has an artistic inclination.' Not that I didn't know already, JK OMG! I shared a womb with my twin brother Derek, and now I want to share my art with you. I have a penchant for traditional tattoo art, but I love to throw a UFO or Bigfoot in the mix whenever possible. Also, I believe in Bigfoot. I am very passionate about artistic self expression, and hope to make all of your wildest tattoo dreams come true (within reason). Come let me tattoo you and together we can make the world a more creative and accepting place!

Andie Brittaine

Andie is our resident piercer. She loves to make clients happy by giving them the bling they deserve!
From the artist:
"I have been part of the tattoo industry for several years & have always been completely intrigued by it. While working along side industry professionals & helping manage shop atmospheres, I have strengthened their businesses & realized there would be nothing more exciting for me than to actually be a part of it. Having always been educated in many trades, I took up the piercing profession. I feel it is extremely original & fitting for me. I look forward to working with many fun & interesting people."

Ronen

Ronen has been tattooing for more years than he is willing to admit. Born in Israel where he learned the craft, he took his art on the road in 2005. Traveling in India, Europe, Norway and the U.K, refining his art and learning from some of the best.

He finally settled in Long Beach, NY with his wife and daughter.

Ronen loves tattooing all sorts of styles. He doesn't limit himself to one particular style, to keep things interesting and sometimes even exciting. Black and gray, color, realism, bio-organic... you name it, he probably did it.

From the artist:

"I like my clients to be involved in the process and will take as much time as needed to have a clear idea of their vision, discussing it and finally designing it. I look forward to working with you on your concept."

Jolie Matthews

Jolie began tattooing about seven years ago working through out New York City.
From the artist:

"Since I can remember I’ve been attracted to tattoos, but the love affair began once I was introduced to tattooing and realized that I could put art on a living “canvas”.  I blend my style of art with tattooing which leads to a more illustrative style. Tattooing constantly challenges me artistically and I am continually learning the craft. I try to bring each clients idea to form no matter how big or small, simple or complex.

It’s a blessing to be able to combine my art with tattooing and humbling knowing that people trust you to mark them with what you’ve created for life."

Regan C.

Regan grew up in the industry, hanging out with her parents at tattoo and piercing studios since she can remember. She began managing studios at just 15 and has been utilizing her BBA in Marketing to propel businesses in the tattoo industry ever since.
"I am so happy to be a part of the Salvation South family. After many years of being a professional makeup artist, becoming a PhiBrows Certified Artist was the obvious next step for me. After completing a long and intensive apprenticeship under Gabriela Addie, PhiBrows Master, I obtained the highly sought after title of PhiBrows Microblading Artist. It's amazing how brow shape can change the face and improve confidence! Contact me for a complimentary consultation to discuss perfecting your brows and enhancing your natural beauty."
